Easy recipe for Bisi Bele Baath
Bisi Bele Baath is a famous rice dish from the state of Karnataka in India. It is a very nutritious dish and has rice, dal and vegetables all in one wholesome meal. The traditional preparation is very laborious. Here we present a much simpler way to make this dish, and bound to be a family favorite. Bisi-bele-bhaath translates to hot-lentil-rice in the Kannada language. It is also known as Bisi bele huliyanna. The key ingredients which make the bisi bele baath so famous is the masala powder that. These days off the shelf masala powders are available, the most famous being the MTR Bise Bele Baath masala powder. My family finds it a little too spicy and hot, so I tend to make my own.
Note: I use the Prestige Microchef Microwave Pressure cooker to make this.
